The last four days have been really packed for me.

Met jo on monday at bugis. billy bombers for dinner. i find it's so overated. like how they pour the milkshake into the cup right infront of your face. haha. and then we caught deuce bigalow: european gigalow. haha! its super funny, recommend everybody who can watch it (M18) to catch it. It has been ages since i met up with her and was kinda nostalgic too. Reminded me of the times 5years back when we were still young and foolish(some say we still are), the crazy curfews where i had to get her back home before dusk, the 8hr phone calls. haha. those were the times. =) and she also lent me her one and only fm receiver to bring in for bmt...

Tues evening was dinner with 5 of my dearest kids. We met at harbourfront at 7.15. Arrived there and andrea and sherman was there waiting, janice arrived a little later on. Ming and shawn came late. everybody shout "OO OHH". haha. All arrived and we got into the car and drove to keppel club. dinner was at kippo restaurant. thank god my godfather is the general manager of the club so we got a private room and stuff. haha. it was ala carte buffet so we 'dianed' like mad. 20+ course meal i think, didnt keep count but it was alot. had fish, crab, prawn, chicken, beef, vegetables, scallop, cuttlefish. ha. what else could we have eaten??. we ate like siao and after dessert we could barely stand up. aha, i know shawn and ming couldnt. Paid up and left, we decided to crash sentosa. so we drove in. in as in into the beach. shhhh, not supposed to but aiya done it before. sooooo... i think the rangers rode past my car and didnt say anything too. climbed up to the tower thingy and sat there for about slighty under an hour, just talking about life, why some things are like that and blahblah. can't remember already. got late and left the place, sped back to drop them off like the wind. starting with andrea, shawn, ming, janice and then finally sherman. It was a good outing, one long overdue. =)

Yesterday(Wed) i met up with my old clique. 5 also. nigel, tianying, jolyn, mabel and hanwei. This group of us went through crazy times together, the countless nights at the beach, waiting for results, chalets, birthdays, random outings. we had kushinbo japanese buffet at suntec for dinner. fantastic, 2 dinner buffets consecutively. for the first part of the dinner nigel wore a black face because of the astronomical price. haha. $35 per person. Had a good laugh. all the lame jokes and stuff. this group hadnt met up like in like slightly over a year but the synergy is no doubt still there. Spent more time laughing then eating i think. And oh boy, we ate ALOT... finished dinner and followed nigel to 'toys r us' where he wanted to buy his rubix cube but couldnt find it there. after that we walked around suntec trying to find his cube but to no avail. ended up at the arcade because ty wanted to play air hockey, but the place didn't have it. but something else caught our eyes. it was some machine were u could win handphones, cameras, mp3 players and expensive stuff. like you put one dollar in and you get three tries. the prize has five empty dots, if you get five filled dots u win!. like if you zhong 4, it goes up by 4 notches, next one -4, go back down. so we spent like 3 dollars and won nothing. expected. haha. but seriously from a computer programmers point of view, its not so easy. there are complex logarithms for these simple-looking machines. saw people waste like 20-30dollars and still not win. looks easy, but then again, if it was. the manufacturers would go bust.

Finally today, or as they say the last supper. haha. woke up late today, went to suntec to have lunch with mom and brother at country manna, ages since i ate there but it was one of the few places still open by the time we got there. after that we went shopping at carrefour for all my army stuff, bought this and that and that. blahblah. headed to army market. the uncle there is quite nice, like he knows we're all very nervous and helps us in anyway possible. haha. got home after, had a rest for about 30mins before heading back to suntec(the irony). dinner at marche with joachim, jeremiah, daniel, glenn, samuel, jeanette, sherron, jeremy, daryl and ern. didnt really eat much because of the late lunch, but woah. the rest ate alot. after dinner they presented me with 3 'prizes', so sweet. 1 & 2. SHAMPOO & HAIRBRUSH!(like i will have any hair to shampoo or brush). haha, 3. a nice, travelling light flip chart by max lucado. the older ones nicely paid for my dinner, i didnt want them too but they insisted. haha. thanx sam, jeanette and joachim. after dinner we broke and i went to carrefour to buy some last minute things i forgot to buy earlier in the day. also picked up jo's birthday present. dropped it off at her place before just reaching home. so tired and tomorrow is gonna be an even longer day.

Its finally here, in 14 hours i will be stuck in tekong for the next one plus week? before being let out for deepavali and hari raya public holidays. phew. haha. yea. but it marks a major milestone, phase, chapter in my life. one that will probably teach me about human relationships and obediance to authority without questioning. i'm quite optimistic about the experience. to make new friends and stuff, after all it's said that the friends you make in army are here to stay... i received so many smses today from people i totally didnt expect and i'm quite encouraged. a big thank you to you if you're reading this. =) this will probably be the last post i make in quite a long time. so guys and gals, please take care and stay strong for the father!
