today i reported for my first day of work at paya lebar airbase as a clerk. found out that i wasnt posted to army neither airforce nor navy but to JOINT. JOINT is like a unit that compromises of all the three units. And to my surprise my division is the hq of intelligence or smth. so very top secret things. so i need to go for some security interviews. blahblah. but thank god its stay out. plus i get to wear no.3 uniform =). so imma hafta work like 8-5.30 everyday. people there are quite nice. security is TIGHT... >>>><<<< ... and boy are they serious about prohibition of camera phones. unlike tekong where the rp barely watches the xray screen closely for any contraband items. PLAB rp checks to the detail. Where in tekong, you can do guard duty seriously without having the risk of anything other than snakes, wildboars confronting you. The chance of an attack at PLAB is definately a reality. just walking up and down past the buildings and seeing security vehicles with GPMG's going up and down really doesnt make us feel any much "safer". My workplace is directly underneath the control tower, so during any attack(god forbid). i'll be the first to go, go up to heaven that is... haha.
