Day 29

29 days since ive been in brisbane. I'm really missing sunny singapore. Family, close friends, friends, acquaintance. Furthermore after yesterday's live screening of ndp at UQ. all i can say is its extremely expensive here and gets very gloomy after dark (like 5.15pm).

anyway, today i visited brisbane city church for the second time. So interesting, Richard Knott surprisingly happens to be the worship pastor of the church. sounds familiar? Today, darlene zschech was the guest worship leader and reggie dabbs was the guest speaker. david holmes from hillsong also played the acoustic guitar.

The worship order was as follows:
1. Salvation Is Here
2. You'll Come
3. Amazing Grace
4. At The Cross
5. This Is Our God
6. Healer

After the word
1. Freedom We Know
2. I Exalt Thee
3. None But Jesus
4. How Great Is Our God

The atmospher was really very thick. You could really sense the anointing upon darlene once she first started speaking into the mic. One part which really touched most people was when she shared about the song - At The Cross

The day before the song was to be led at sunday service at hillsong, one of the hillsong youth leaders died tragically in an accident. There wasn't actually intended to be a third verse for the song. But because of this tradgedy, darlene saw how the fateful boy's family returned to church the next day to worship and put their trust/faith in the most high god, committing everything that happened the previous night. because of this darlene+reuban were inspired to write the third verse-

Reggie preached a powerpacked message too.

He shared about one of his experiences when he was in australia where this man was about the jump from a bridge to commit suicide and he tried to intervene. As there was a policeman at the scene, the logical thing was that the police would turn him away citing that it was a police affair, not to interfere.etc. But as god spoke, he acted, he approached the policeman and said 'Hey, I'm Reggie Dabbs and i'm a preacher', instead of turning him away the police man replied 'I've heard your messages before, come over and help!!' Its so wonderful how sometimes we fail to obey god because of what the world deems to be right/logical. He also shared about the love he had for his son, like how many of his sons friends would be envious of the PDA shown from his dad. In the same way, how God loves each and every one of us so much

Mike Guglielmucci is coming Aug 24th. I really want to hear his testimony and everything he has to say.
